This website aims to look at how the use of interactive whiteboards support pupils with learning disabilities. We have contextualised understandings of education, digital media and technology in relation to critical questions about the transformative effects of technology. Our website critically evaluates and analyses the use of interactive whiteboards for students with learning disabilities in classrooms. The discussion on learning disabilities such as ADHD (Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder), autism and visually impaired students is highlighted through a podcast. The podcast will also include the use of interactive whiteboards and how interactive whiteboards support students with learning disabilities. Further on, a video has been incorporated within this website, discussing teacher’s perceptions on the use of interactive whiteboards to support students with learning disabilities. What is a learning disability, the code of practice and examples of the different types of learning disabilities such as dyslexia, dysphasia and disculia. These examples are explained and what makes them a learning disabilities for students. The website critically evaluates two journal articles which are based on the effectiveness of interactive whiteboards in a classroom. Alongside this there are two website reviews based on the benefits of interactive whiteboards too. The limitations will be discussed of both the journals and articles based on how effective interactive whiteboards are and how both the journals and articles communicate effectively to its intended audience. This website also, includes the impact of new technologies and digital media on learning theories and learning styles. The website consists of different images on each page showing young children using interactive whiteboards with their teachers.

How are teachers motivating students with learning disabilities and what kind of activities do they use whilst they are using the interactive whiteboards.
